Monday, March 22, 2010 Event: 8th Annual Louis Stokes Leadership Symposium featuring Congresswoman Barbara Lee (CA-09 Date: 3/22/2010 - 2/22/2010 Time: 12:00:00 PM - Location: Allen Memorial Library located at 11000 Euclid Avenue Event Details: On behalf of Case Western Reserve University, you are cordially invited to attend the 8th Annual Louis Stokes Leadership Symposium at 12:00 Noon on Monday, March 22, 2010 in the Allen Memorial Library located at 11000 Euclid Avenue. Congresswoman Barbara Lee will join Barbara R. Snyder, President of Case Western Reserve and the Honorable Louis Stokes to provide the keynote address and discuss her years of public service and the importance of public leadership. Elected in 1998 to the House of Representatives, Congresswoman Lee is a powerful advocate and voice for the underserved communities. She also serves as the Chairwoman of the Congressional Black Caucus. Congresswoman Barbara Lee represents a large part of California’s ninth district. A member of the powerful House Appropriations Committee, Representative Lee serves on the Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, the State and Foreign Operations and the Financial Services Subcommittees. Additionally, she serves on the Foreign Affairs Committee on the subcommittees on Western Hemisphere, Africa and Global Health. Her official biography can be found below.
