Two positions are for the summer of 2010 and the other one is for the summer and fall of 2010. All positions are in our Water Quality and Industrial Surveillance Department. Qualifications Minimum Responsibilities: · Assist full-time staff in conducting environmental, industrial and/or business billing investigations, both in the field and office · Assist in the collection of water chemistry, macroinvertebrate, and fish community data from local water bodies · Assist in sampling/investigation of industrial dischargers to the local sewerage collection system · Assist in the evaluation, interpretation and analysis of sampling data and/or billing information · Perform routine equipment cleaning, maintenance, and calibration Minimum Requirements: · Valid Ohio Driver’s License and a driving record in accordance with the District’s insurance carrier · Candidate should be a junior or senior in a bachelor’s degree program with a major in one of the areas listed above · 40 hours per week. Starting time is generally 8:00 a.m. Monday – Friday, but may vary throughout the co-op term. Position will require local travel within the District service area.
